Mason.exe, the Digital Virus

Several years ago, a friend of mine designed character based on the infamous 'MissingNo' glitch from the original Pokemon, but the character (Mason) would eventually fall by the wayside on not have any other art done of them.

Recently, when the game Monster Prom began to tease their Halloween update, the friend and I discussed him possibly converting old characters into OCs for the game, and one of the ones I suggested was to turn Mason into a living computer virus, akin to the 'Phantom Virus' from the 2001 video 'Scooby Doo and the Cyber Chase'. While my friend would eventually pass on the idea, he allowed me to go ahead and create a concept for the redesign of Mason, shown here.

The goal was to remove several of the more human elements and replace it with more spiked forms as this version of Mason consisted of pure digital data. That 'pure data' concept would also be reflected in the seemingly-glowing nature and binary code in the body.
